I think some of the popularity of the show came from the fact that the Mad Hatter was considered "Hot" by a lot of the female viewers. Sometimes, that's more than enough to keep something alive.

Personally, I didn't like the mini-series either (though I did sort of like "Tin Man" oddly enough).

The Oz one was better.

It's like the whole Twilight craze a lot of people is the next great masterpiece. I cringe at that.

Never heard about it on television, only from the fans...and...eh. I don't know...I think the movie won't be all that great either.
