The critics need to understand that Brave was a love story. Just because it wasn’t the conventional, romantic kind of love you were looking for doesn’t make that love any less valid.

Perfect movie was perfect.

It was a really sweet movie, it makes you want to tell your own mother how much you love her. It's the perfect movie for Mother's Day. I don't know what critics have against it, the movie's easy to relate to because it's about a mother and teenage daughter as they struggle to understand each other and the daughter wants independence. Anyone who's been a teenager or has had a teenager of their own understands how this effects a parent and their teen's relationship. I enjoyed watching how the characters interacted with one another as a family, like how much Merdia's parents loved each other or how Merdia acted as the big sister of her triplet brothers. It was a movie about family their love for one another and struggles they faced as they learned to understand and forgive each other.

Oh yes, this movie was definitely a love story; not one between a princess and a prince, or some other male lead, but one between a mother and daughter. I mean, part of why I love this film is that it's not a typical Disney princess film where the female lead has a love interest, marries him, and lives happily ever after. It broke that tradition and chose to focus on another kind of relationship that is very realistic for this time period, and probably was during that era. I found moments in the film between Merida and Elinor to be fairly close to how I relate to my mother, because we often argue, especially because my mom can be bossy and nitpicky, but I still love her. If anything, I love her just the way she is, and I know that in the end, Merida loves her mother just the way she is.

This movie was really great, and I'd name it is my favorite animated film of the year. And of course, I really like your artwork. It reminds me in the end after Elinor changes back, when she kisses Merida's face. I love that moment because of how cute and affectionate it is for her to do as a mother. And I think Merida was so happy the spell had broken that she didn't mind her mother's kisses one bit. :)
